Python is the language of the future. It is being most widely used for all general purpose applications to sophisticated web development and softwares. It has a huge library of tools and comes along with an ever increasing team of various individuals to help the newcomers.

It is the language to start from, learn and employ into the future.

WIth the regressive step taken by CBSE to scrap the language from class XI and XIII syllabus they have done the mistake of the same proportions as they did in the implementation of CCE.

They are being PENNY WISE and POUND FOOLISH.

If you think Python language should be back please sign the petition.

Updates

March 4, 2017

I have been hearing from so many students who feel left behind by this sudden change in the curriculum. Seeing these signatures grow confirms that we are not alone in believing that our schools must keep pace with the modern world.

March 4, 2017

Seeing this kind of movement confirms that students and teachers alike see the damage CBSE is doing to our future. It feels incredible to know I am not the only one frustrated by this regressive change.

I ask CBSE, If not python what else takes its place? You want tedious C/C++ or age old FORTRAN or not at all??

At +2 level Python is a very useful tool to teach physics and maths. But so long as the computer science is taught as something unrelated to the core subjects, the power of that language is never realized. Whether CBSE encourages or not, I am maintaining a collection of Python code to teach physics, kept at expeyes.in/python.html

This sounds like a decision taken by someone who has absolutely no idea about programming languages, and pedagogical techniques. The flexibility of Python allows it to be applied to science classrooms as well. One can explain various concepts through simulations only a few lines long. Please bring back Python. Sincerely, Someone who regularly codes in more than 5 languages, including C/C++

Python is a simple yet powerful language. CBSE should reconsider their decision.

It is useful. You can experiment advanced things in less number of lines of code.
