I predict a loss of parking revenue fir Bethany; from Meyers and the many parking tickets they love to give. Someone suggested Ubering to the beach. Great idea! Don’t have to pay for parking and no tickets! I can stop saving my quarters.

I have owned a home in Bay Colony since 1984. Parking has been challenging enough over recent years- to take away available parking will lesson the opportunity for those living locally to enjoy the shops and restaurants in Bethany.

For every day delayed in reversing the damaging parking regulations the economic destruction and job losses may not be restored. Businesses are forced into forbearance and bankruptcy for the towns stated goal of making it difficult to visit the beach. Although well intentioned , new CDC ever changing guidelines contradict the Towns actions. We have hundreds of emails from 27 years of a customer base obliging the town saying they are going elsewhere. What took years to build is destroyed by executive fiat. And it may be an unproven wild guess that it MIGHT reduce a health risk. AT WHAT COST...

If people can’t come to Bethany... they will go elsewhere. Please help us support the small business that are what Bethany the wonderful town that it is by changing parking back to normal so the town may thrive again!

We were forced to have our business closed until recently. The very day we get open the town- in which we pay taxes, live and run a business - has restricted parking for what reason? If you want to social distancing, put a cone in every other parking place. The town officials are putting the nail in the coffin for every business that relies on foot traffic from customers going to the beach. Oh wait, that’s every business!

This has been a devastating additional burden with our businesses being limited or closed since March!

PUT THINGS BACK TO NORMAL PLEASE !!!
