Bring Back Non-Resident Parking, Bethany Beach, Delaware

Give the Beach parking back to the people!

The businesses in Bethany suffered enough loss during the quarantine and now with the parking restrictions you are not allowing them to make it up. Most of the homes are rentals, they are not residents, are the owners of those homes giving passes to short term renters?

We need to get parking back like yesterday to be able to survive in this town!!! Please reconsider and go back to the way it was!!!

My mom and godmother both own businesses in Bethany Beach (Sanpoula’s & Shades at the Beach). As if the pandemic hasn’t affected their business enough this season, now tourists aren’t even able to come and shop due to the ridiculous parking restrictions. Give ALL business owners a chance to make SOME money this year. Other areas are opened up with proper COVID precautions and are doing well, but this parking situation is way too much and quite silly in my opinion. Based on this petition I’d say most business owners/people aren’t very pleased with these parking restrictions, cut everyone some slack and let’s get back to “normal” and give the town some business and a chance this summer!

I believe this will discourage many visitors from enjoying our beautiful beach and reduce sales for merchants along the boardwalk and those in close proximity! Not a great way to welcome non-residents!

I'm not quite sure why anyone came up with this idea. It almost sounds as if Bethany Beach doesn't want any visitors (only residents). Please bring back visitor's parking!

Please have parking available for visitors. I love supporting the small businesses in BB but it definitely be a struggle to find parking if left as is the current situation.

Please keep more non resident parking available!

We own 2 properties in Millville and our family has been coming to Bethany beach most summer weekends for 20 years. Please reconsider the restrictive parking plans.

We live 2 miles from Bethany Beach. Such a shame we have to drive to OC to park (free) and use their beach instead when we'd much rather go to our local DE beach.

This makes it very difficult for those of us who live outside of the town to use the beach. Was this done because of the virus?

Bethany is supposed to be a tourist friendly town. Businesses will be hurt as well

We have vacationed in Bethany Beach for the past 27 years. This is most disappointing. We will be rethinking our long-planned, long-awaited summer vacation if this unwelcoming, ridiculous pan remains.

Not sure I will visit BB like I used to if this passes.

To call this decision ill-advised is to seriously understate the damage this will cause if allowed to stand.

The lack of parking will prevent us from supporting the businesses in Bethany.

Wow. If I am reading the map correctly, that is not a lot of parking for non-residents to enjoy the shops, restaurants, and the beautiful beach. They will find somewhere else to go. While, in my opinion, Bethany is the best beach town in the area, there are plenty of other options without the frustration of lack of parking and accessibility. Is this the goal of the Town Council? If so, WHY ?

This is shutting out all the surrounding local areas! We help all off season supporting local business, and now you are cutting us off from parking to continue to support them. Perhaps instead of another park that should have been dedicated to more parking spaces!

Spent many years and summer living and working in bethany. I live this town but it's a resort down. It's a bad decisions to alienate out of towner's as your economy relies on them heavily.

We live in Millville and are discouraged from patronizing and enjoying Bethany. While we understand this is a pandemic and public health is paramount, there should be ways to let the general public partake in the beauty of Bethany beach safely . As it is it is only privy to a very exclusive bunch.
