The fact that you fired a teacher because of the inappropriate behavior of a student is surreal. This district should fire Antoine involved in this decision.

Bring back Mrs. Arthur. She should have never been told to step down. The student should be held responsible for taking her cell phone and sending out the pictures.

Teachers should not be punished for the wrong doing and ill intent of others

Students must be held accountable for their actions especially when its criminal . Stop punshing teachers for any and everything that results from what out of control kids do. Give this lady her job back. Educators in the US are treated unfairly on a daily bases!!

I am a teacher. This is what's wrong with the generation we are raising these days, what the student did was wrong. It is not the school's job to feed, clothe, and teach right and wrong to children, it is our job to educate them in curriculum. Parents no longer have to take responsibility for raising their children because we do it for them.

As a fellow teacher, I find this reprehensible and a grave lack of leadership with the administration.

This is "blaming the victim" at it's worse. The Superintendent, like most, is an idiot

Expel the little thief and give Ms. Arthur her job back!

To punish the victim is the same as treating a rape victim as if it was "the victim" who had done something wrong. There is no legal basis that leaving private property on your desk that would suggest negligence because it should have been locked. If I left my wallet on my desk and a student helped themselves to $20 would I be negligent or that they were a thief

Leigh did nothing wrong. Is she responsible for locking a purse to prevent it from being stolen? It's the same thing. She must be reinstated.

What she does on her own time is none of the schools business as long as it nothing illegal. The only person who broke the law is the student. I'd have to believe she isn't the only one who works for the school district with these kind of pictures. It is their right. The school should also apologize to her.

Just completely blown away by this. Read the whole situation from an app on my phone. Arthur doesn't deserve any punishment. The kid on the other hand is the one who made the wrong choice. Day of reckoning should rain on him instead.

I wish you the best, I hope you get your job back and recover from this awful emotional nightmare.
