I support this petition, because the school not only has the obligation to protect its pupils, but also its teachers. Clearly this is not the case.

The kid is in the wrong not the teacher. It is theft.

Those students are to blame for their own actions - not Mrs. Arthur.

Absolutely disgusted at the fact that the victim is being blame. She did not make her phone easily accessible to students, that phone is her property that was sitting on her desk, and the student is the one who violated her privacy. He is the one who took HER belongings and went through it. Plenty of teachers leave their phones on their desk. Students should be mature and responsible enough to leave them alone.

As a 30 year law enforcement officer I state the obvious... The teacher is the VICTIM and yet is being treated like a suspect. The contents of a smart phone are private... Like a file drawer... The student is at fault. The school is treating this teacher like some people blame rape victims.... Its her fault. It disgust me in 2016 folks don't get it.

Key Points: Phone was used without permission. Sharing of the photos is harassment, extortion, intimidation and distribution of pornograhy.

Kids thease days have no respect for authority. As a teenager myself, I am disappointed in my generation. He had no right to search her phone, and appalled that he would go to those measures to get revenge on his teacher. She should be able to get her job back since she is a victim of student bullying.

She did nothing wrong. The kid did. Punish the correct person.

NO ONE should ever have that act of cruelty upon them. As someone who has done nothing and had my pictures psoted without their permission, I feel her pain. Having her job taken away was wrong. The kid gets no punishment for his wrong doing? Shame on the school district for mishandling that

It's disappointing that this school choose to both blame the victim of a crime of sexual nature against her and not hold a child responsible for their blatantly inappropriate actions. Children like this grow up thinking they can do whatever they would like to because there are not consequences for their behavior and that it's a female's fault just for being female. This reeks of the , "boys will be boys" viewpoint.

Honestly where does the culture of blaming others stop. Huge invasion of privacy and the kids that did this need to be held accountable.
