With the prevalence of 19th century "morality" clauses in teacher contracts, she should have never taken the pictures; however, SHE is the victim, not the THIEF that ILLEGALLY posted them. Please join the rest of us in the 21st century and reinstate her.

Mrs. Arthur did nothing wrong. Private notes or photos were not shared with students. The school was wrong!

This teacher shold never have been forced to resign. How unfair! The student involved needs a consequence for using her phone to invade her privacy and for sending her photos to other students to harass and humiliate her.

it's wrong this could have happened to anybody.the school should have kept a policy in place that all employees phones must be kept with a passcode lock on them.....regardless a person's phone can have a lock on it but it can still be accessed if someone opens there phone and has a delay on the lock screen and turns away for a moment someone can then access it....it's a policy that is difficult to enforce.... this woman did nothing wrong. except have naked pictures of there body on there own device....it's her privacy that was invaded it's ridiculous she is being punished for this

Bring Back Mrs. Arthur-
Start the dismissal process for superintendent David Eubanks: individuals with the mindset as David Eubanks is why we have so many problems in schools today!
Discipline the Student! Not the teacher! Her privacy was invaded and her private property was taken voluntarily by the student with malicious intent!
The damage is done! The Superintendent and the student are both wrong!

I am a high school teacher, and understand how important it is for teachers to supervise their classes. But I also know that we are often pulled out of class to handle other problems. The student who maliciously and purposefully stole those photos should be disciplined. What lesson are you teaching the teenage girls in your school? That when a boy assaults them, it is the fault of the girl? Shame on you, Mr Eubank.

Let's stop blaming the wrong people for incidents that clearly others are responsible for. A thief is a thief so blame the thief and hold him responsible. The phone wasn't his property so he had absolutely NO BUSINESS touching it in the first place. He intended to do harm from the begining so burn his punk butt and teach him a lesson.

I live in Canada. The student should be punished and investigated, the others who shared the photos and whomever placed the printed pictures in the teachers mailbox should also be punished and investigated to the full extent of the law. Theft, harassment, intimidation and threats are not acceptable.
If the teacher was having sexual relations with the students, it would be different and the teacher should be punished also. But it does not seem like that at this point.

As a future educator I'd hope for better treatment towards our educators than what is being displayed towards Mrs.Arthur.

This is all on the student! the phone is private property of the owner. If someone chooses to violate that privacy, they should be dealt with harshly. The teacher does not deserve to be treated like this.
