It's not fair as to why the teacher was dismissed. How was the teacher meant to know one of her students would go into her phone WITHOUT permission. And that they would put her nudes on social media. It's a raid of privacy yes she shouldn't have they sort of pictures on her phone but you just don't invade a teachers privacy like that or anyone in general.

I do not think a person should be punished and made to quit there job for having pictures of a personal nature on their phone intended for their husband. If there had been naked pictures of her child or grand daughter being born would that be inappropriate. It was her personal phone and her personal property. The student is the one that intended the harm not the teacher. The student is the one that did make the decisions to do wrong. How many phones do you think have naked pictures of their significant other on them. People need to stop being hypocrites and wonder what they would have done if they were in that position.

I can't believe this is an issue. Hold the student accountable and give her the job back.

This is just another example of rape culture. Instead of punishing the kid for invading this woman's privacy in one of the worst ways possible, it's the woman's fault for not protecting herself better. Stop teaching young men that's okay. It's NOT okay.

Perhaps this petition IS insignificant but the fact that this teacher's right to privacy was intentionally breached and she was verbally threatened by this student and THEN she was "hung out to dry" by her employer is beyong belief. The administrator who cavalierly abrogated this woman's rights has left himself and his school district open to a lawsuit for wrongful termination. If the community his school(s) serve allow him to continue in his present position without sanctions, Mrs. Arthur needs to file suit, if for no ther reason, to prevent this sort of egregious pillorying of someone else in the future.

It's ridiculous that we continue to get rid of great teachers because administration is too afraid to reprimand children and their parents.

This lady is a victim of crime, yet it is her that has been dismissed. This is very poor handling of this situation and this teacher must be reinstated immediately. Failure to reinstate her to her previously held position should be considered unfair and unreasonable dismissal. I would be prepared to donate towards any litigation that she may choose to mount against the administration.

Blaming the victim is shameful and teaches our youth the wrong message. Is this firing even legal?!

As a retired teacher I cannot sufficiently express my utter disdain both for the student and the administration. The fact that he is "remorseful" has no bearing whatever on the naiveté of the administration -- or the effect on this permanently affected teacher. SHAME ON BOTH OF THEM !!!
I suppose if someone breaks into your house and kills you with your own knife, its your fault for having a knife in your house.
