It's heinous to believe a victim should be held responsible for the offenders actions.

Read the news article online and absolutely disgusted by the Superintendent's response to this incident. That would never happen here in Canada.

Expel the student responsible and fire the staff in charge of making such a ridiculous judgement call. The school system of South Carolina can do so much better.

Blaming the victim for the acts of the criminal? NOT right.

When are people going to stop blaming the victim? The student STOLE her phone, accessed private information, shared that private information, and is not to blame? Pathetic

She sent that picture to her husband in confidence. She didn't make it public. A student STOLE her phone. She is a victim. You shouldn't fire her for being a victim.

I find it hard to believe the school superintendent would suspend this teacher for a crime that was committed
against her.

This is a travesty! The union needs to step up to the plate and resolve this now to get her reinstated.

Mrs. Arthur should be reinstated as a teacher. She should not have been fired for having a violation of privacy and the so-called "authority" figures in this case have done nothing but blame and shame the victim and protect the student who wrongfully breached her privacy. Just because it is a nude photo it does mean she has done anything criminal when it is the action of others (the student) who are criminal. People should have the right to take naked photos of themselves to share with their significant others (c'mon, it was Valentine's Day for god's sake) in a safe way without being demonized by the community they live in when their privacy is breached.

The student is the one who is wrong. Going into someone else's personal property & stealing pictures is so wrong. He should face the charges and go to court. She should be reinstated.

This teacher was a victim .
Put the blame where it belongs on the little sociopath who stole her phone and tried to make himself the hero.

This lady is a victim who bears no culpability for this gross invasion of her privacy.
