Maybe someone should investigate the super since he is dismissing the incident. Loaning a phone is not illegal but steal the phone is.

The photo WAS kept private until a silly little boy thought it would be hilarious to spread it around. The school's actions are disgraceful and the entire governing body should be hanging their heads in shame.

We live in a country of victim blaming and not holding people accountable for their actions. The fact that you are condoning this kind of behavior is disgusting. You have an opportunity to make things right, and I really hope you choose to do that

This is ridiculous. Reinstate Mrs Arthur and punish the kid accordingly!

As a fellow teacher, I am appalled at the actions of the superintendent. This woman has done nothing wrong.

If the administrator has to lie about the teacher regularly letting students use her phone, you know that he knows that what he did was wrong and cannot stand up to honest scrutiny. Taking away someone's livelyhood after they have dedicated their lives to helping the community is weak, stupid and immature. How about standing behind the people who do the work in your school? Like someone with integrity. Perhaps the administrator should lose his job for being petty and thoughtless and weak.

Very wrong to fire this teacher. Was her private stuff and its very easy to unlock a cell phone with codes my granddaugter can mine. He had it in for the teacher and thought he wuld get her in trouble and quess what he did. Not fair!!! I would sue school & parents for my name being ruint.

If I had gone through any of my teachers belongings as a kid I would have been suspended.

The supervisor should resign/be terminated for this injustice. Reinstate this teacher who has done nothing wrong!

This is absurd! Teachers should be held to a standard, yes, but was a private cell phone that was taken by a student. The student should be prosecuted if anyone.

There is never a reason to punish the victim of a crime, ever. You should be ashamed of yourselves for punishing a hard working teacher over a child who went out of his way to knowingly humiliate her.

The teacher needs to be rehired. The thief needs to be expelled. He knew what he did was wrong.

This kind of backwards thinking is exactly the reason I moved out of the state. While I love SC's natural beauty, I just can't put up with a lot of people like this superintendent.

Bad parenting is to blame, that child should learn some manners all you taught him is that he can exploit women and be rewarded with it. She should get her job back or some compensation from the lack of privacy on behalf of this terrible student.

What a shame! Another example of administration and ceo's who abuse their power and try to make a name for themselves on the backs of their employees.

Standing by a fellow teacher who fell victim to yet another entitled student, backed by a student enabling district.
