As the child of a teacher, I find what the school district did utterly moronic. Maybe this was God's way of saying that it was time to find a school district that actually had brains.

I find this horrifying! The student is completely RESPONSIBLE! The student knew right from wrong and chose to humiliate this teacher whom worked hard for her degrees and her life. What happens between her and her husband is no ones business especially her bratty student. That student should be punished. He ruined a persons career and life. THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!. What is wrong with society and that school system. How horrible is that principal and superintendent. Who would want to work for a person who does not support his staff. What a mean, hateful person.
I will pray for you my dear, i wish you the absolute best. I do know how you feel. I left teaching due to do some absolute horrible students invading my privacy as a very young teacher. I was so young and my heart was broken and my faith in the school system. As well as a lot of people within it. I have a much better life. but if i ever come across those students… they better pray i am not in a position … well we will leave that up to God. I will pray for you!

What someone does with their own personal property should not be grounds for dismissal, not when the information they're being disciplined for was exposed as a result of illegal and immoral actions by an uninvolved party.

She needs her job back. That kid needs to be the one kicked out of school. Distribution of nude photos is illegal and the student had no right doing that.

I would like to add that in addition to the teacher being reinstated to her job, the student should be expelled from school and face criminal charges for theft and invasion of privacy.

I served on a school board and I can tell you that I would have already looked into having this Superintendent fired. The teacher is the victim here. Her phone was STOLEN and her privacy violated. Teacher or not, there's an expectation of privacy. This is just ridiculous.

The student should be held responsible. The student chose to steal the phone, snoop thru it and chose to post a discriminating photo. It was on the teacher's phone which was never meant to be snooped thru by some nosy kid with no respect for other people's privacy or property. Discipline the kid, not the teacher.

There's no excuse for the way this teacher had her rights violated, not only by the student that stole pictures, but by the school!!! The nation sees how the school is handling this, and I feel sorry for any staff working there. This story is spreading quickly, and the dismissive handling by the school is embarassing to me as an American and a woman. This school is actively allowing a female staff member to be sexually exploited and harassed at her place of work without consequence. That is ridiculous. I'm ashamed there's an a person in charge making these idiotic decisions affecting someone's life forever.

This is rediculous, her property was stolen. The photos were not given to the students, ive seen teachers have inappropriate relationships and give photos to students who were not fired.
