Mrs. Arthur should be re-instated, and David Eubanks should be dismissed. As to the students punishment. He need to know that what he did was wrong. Community service is in order, along with a record until his 18th birthday for distribution. But, most of all... The community needs to know students are responsible for their actions. Any super who does otherwise should be canned, and a black mark placed on his record.

The student is in the wrong. Teachers have a right to privacy. Teachers have a right to expect that their personal belongings will not be stolen.

To the shameful and sad person who assumes the interim superintendent position: How. Dare. You. How dare you blame the victim of a crime? How do you blame a woman for sharing something personal with her husband - a person whom she is joined by God - and was victimized when her privacy was stolen from her. You victimize her again with your shameful actions. What if this was your wife? Your daughter? Would you still be such a heartless man? Shame on you. You are a mysoginist and a coward and I will pray for you.

I'd rather sign the petition to hold the student and their family responsible for legal action on her having been slander and deformation of character, as well as loss of her income

Completely irresponsible on the part of the school. The student should be charged with theft.

Another kid growing up without learning consequence. Blaming the victim? A 2fer by the Superintendent.

This is an outrage. The students involved and the superintendent need to be held accountable. This woman was the victim of theft and defamation of character.

This termination is outrageous. Would you fire a teacher who was sexually assaulted by a student? Then blame the teacher for such a horrible crime? Use some common sense and correct this mistake made by an incompetent hr authority.

The students actions of blatant stealing and distributing of private information should result in charges and expulsion. No teacher should ever undergo the humiliation and treatment from her superiors such as this. They've now discouraged many educators to think about staying in the district, I'm sure.

Outrageous treatment of a teacher while the real villain goes free

This student should be the ONLY one punished in this incident. He had no right going into her property and do what he did. Thank you.

This "Interim Stupid-tendent sound be removed from his position. When you take the side of a student that knows better, but Breaks the Law, you really can't be very smart. The teacher should be reinstated, the student expelled and charges should be filed against the student also. The teacher should also file a lawsuit against the student and the punishment needs to be directed at him and not allow the parents to help him out of it. This is something that will haunt the teacher the rest of her life and the student needs to feel the same pain the teacher has. Robby

Teachers are allowed to have private lives and to have their privacy respected like any other adult. This teacher should not be punished for having her privacy violated.

Reprehensible action by the school.
