This is ludicrous to allow a person's unwanted and illegal actions to dictate a teacher being fired. The student is the only person who did anything wrong amd the only person to be punished. Your district should be telling that teacher how sorry this happened to her and not blame her. One person CANNOT watch 20 people all the time, it is impossible, and yes teachers should monitor the class but they should also be able to have a little faith in the students to not do something like this.

I am a teacher, and as a superintendent you are wrong. Ms. Arthur was where she was supposed to be, in the hall during the change of classes. Students who were not taught well, got into her personal property. You are a fool and should resign since you obviously forgot what it was to be a teacher.

The teacher's privacy, dignity, and even safety were violated by the student's actions.
The instant the photo was shared publicly, the student demonstrated his lack of respect for his teacher.
The school's response to the student's actions would be the equivalent of me stealing your gun, shooting someone, then you being charged with the death.
The photo shared was personal and hidden, and the teacher, like any of us, is allowed to have a personal, private, and even sexual life without becoming ostracized for it.
Having such a photo posted without her consent is tantamount to rape in my view, and the school's response simply feeds the archaic practice of blaming the victim.

This is appalling. Especially the school administration's attitude. What kind of school are you if you can't teach students when Not to cross boundaries? That student's family is really cheap.

This poor woman should not be held responsible for an immature child's actions! Kids do stupid things they think is funny and yes sometimes they are this stupid! In no way shape or form should the teacher be to blame and lose her job!

The student is guilty in the biggest way possible of sexting which by the way is a Federal crime. The teacher should not have been forced to resign. The student should have been expelled right away.

What a teacher does in her personal time on her personal property is protected by the Bill of Rights!!! Exactly which amendments does the Union County School Board believe should apply to their teachers? Perhaps they should include that in their employment contract? "In order to work for our schools, you will be giving up the following Constitutional rights..."

This does NOT have anything to do with her job! The fact that her students started this shows the kind of teacher she is. 'Murica, you're a mess.

Someone else commuting a crime is NOT a reason to fire anyone.
