Charges should be filed against the student, the teacher should sue the school district and the stupidintendant should apologize to her.

This superintendent should be ashamed of himself. Not only did he fire a teacher for being a victim he is doing nothing about the students actions.

If this allegation truly holds water, then the teacher should be reinstated immediately and the student(s) should be charged and expelled from school.

Maybe start one to get this idiot Superintendent removed. No one should get fired because someone invaded her private life. She did nothing wrong. Get her back in the classroom.

This is a disgrace. Obviously we are no longer entitled to a private life. What a joke. Congratulations to the low life that stole the phone and shared this picture without consequences ultimately ruining this woman's carreer. You should be disgusted with yourself. Nice work school board - supporting a thief/bully and blaming the victim. Its another sad day for humanity.

This is obscene. Superintendent Eubanks is the one who should be fired. The evidence is plain. Her privacy was breached. Her property was stolen and shared for all to see. This is outrageous. This is no fault of hers.

We call this victim blaming when the teacher's privacy is violated and it was her fault. Shame on the school!

A word to the Superintendent & district. The fact that you would hold responsible a woman who had personal photos leaked via theft speaks BOUNDS about your ability to be teaching ANYTHING to young minds. I wonder, if your car had been stolen and used in a fatal hit & run, if YOU should face the time for the death of the person because "you weren't in control of the vehicle at the time of the theft".
Honestly, the teacher you have ABSOLUTELY failed by not instantly suspending the student for breaking the law, should be reinstated into YOUR position. When searching for truth or blame, one does NOT stop at the earliest possible convenient stopping point. You finish when you get to the root of the issue.
This teacher having a personal photo on her personal phone is not the issue. The issue is you apparently failed in basic comprehension of facts.

If a student breaks into your home and steals nude pics of you from the back of your closet, is that your fault? If they go through your wallet, and find a pic of your wife in there, that's your fault? No, it isn't. And being a school teacher doesn't come with a requirement to be celibate and refrain from all adult communication. Punish the person who actually did something wrong, NOT the victim.

This was an invasion of privacy - not just for the teacher, but an invasion into her marriage. The photos she took was strictly for her husband as it should be. The contents of her phone have nothing to do with the school system. Return her job to her.
