I can not believe that this crime has resulted in the victim being humiliated and unemployed.
The authorities have seriously got to look at themselves as their decision making is completely unacceptable in any country.

This pupil should face prosecution under the same laws relating to revenge porn. The school's actions in this case are appalling and punishing the wrong person.

As a mother, I am greatly concerned that privacy and breaking into someone's personal phone is considered "ok" I have taken riske photos for my boyfriend, and while I'm not a teacher I have instilled into my child that my phone is my property and can only be used with my guidance, if my child broke into a teachers phone and were to publicly share photos they would be grounded for at least a year, just because you are a teacher does not mean you have to give up your personal life, the child who disrespected her needs to be punished! Disrespect is one issue that needs to be instilled onto our children , to disregard someone's personal life and personal life style should be imbedded into our children's minds.

In the USA, they'd probably try to charge a male teacher with a crime if a female student took his phone and saw private nude photos.

The superintendent is being overbearing and unfair, as well as violating the employment statutes for due process. Ms. Arthur has legal avenues to sue the school, get her job back, and recover damages. She should pursue those remedies and contact an attorney in employment law immediately.
