The student needs to learn that what he/she did was morally and legally wrong, stealing a phone, posting intimate pictures online, both wrong, what punishment did he/she get?

That student was in the wrong. For not respecting property first, then for sending out private information for everyone. That student should go to jail and the teacher get her job back. The school is wrong

I think this is appalling to fire a teacher because a student got a hold of her cell phone! This is so wrong and the superintendent knows it! The student is old enough to know that stealing is wrong. And to me that is the case. Also putting all the blame on the teacher is ridiculous and upserd. It is the digital age and there are other ways of stealing other people's info and pictures is still a crime and the student should be disaplined he stole plane and simple!

I have no sympathy for a brat that disrespect teachers or authority in general, the teacher should not be punished for keeping private photos or other in her own phone. Who would think an abusive student will go through her things for the extend to find something incriminating.

I sure wish the pics on this disrespectful kids phone can be exposed to everyone!!! I am sure he wouldn't appreciate someone snatching his phone.....She may not be a teacher for my kids, but by the testimony of other parents who know her she sounds like an amazing teacher and I pray for a happy result & she gets her job back!!!

This is completely unacceptable. The petition should be to have the superintendent removed from his job as he is incapable of performing their duties. How do they reason to punish a teacher and not the student who is to blame. Ridiculous.

What this teacher did is neither illegal nor even immoral (since it was for her husband). The moron responsible for sacking her is the one with a major ethics problem. What a twisted mind to say that it's her own fault and that she "allowed the child to commit this illegal act"? Utter lunacy.
