It's absolutely terrible that a teacher can still be fired for something she intended to keep private. Due to a lack of respect shown for personal property by a student, she no longer has a job. This student should be held accountable for his inappropriate actions, but the principal wishes to foster the sense of entitlement and actions without consequences that have become so prevalent today in children. I'd be ashamed of my child if he did something like that, and I'd make sure he was punished in some way.

Expel the kid, rehire the teacher. Teach this kid how to be a decent human being and not a thief, a snoop, and a snitch. The teacher did nothing wrong she is trying to live her adult life the beast way she can. She probably doesn't have the time to date as a teacher and is forced to find love online. It's a common occurance these days. However the student is a thief, an invader of privacy, and a scumbag for stealing the phone, invading its contents, and then sharing them openly. This kid needs to be arrested all of that to my knowledge is a criminal offense and I hope this teacher sues the school and state for wrongdoing.

He stole it and needs to pay the consequences. She on the other hand was sending these pictures to her husband with no intent of anyone else ever seeing them. Why does the school administration get to decide if they are appropriate. What a husband and wife or anyone else does is their choice. Some very educated scholars think thsee exchanges are healthy for a relationship. Stop trying to CYA. You are embarrassed it is out in the public. ..well guess what so is she. Privacy violation.

Really hope the superintendent changes his mind. Over 15000 signatures is "insignificant"? I don't think so. This is an attack on women's privacy everywhere. I hope Mrs. Aurthur gets her job back, or at least compensation!

The Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures and requires any warrant to be judicially sanctioned and supported by probable cause. You undermine the authority of your teaching staff when you side with those who violate their rights.
