Very disappointing to hear the "resolution" the school district has offered to teachers when their property is stolen. I will be sure to tell all of my teacher community to stay away from such an unsupportive district.

Fire the school board, because anyone that lacks common sense, should not be involved with childrens education.
Clearly what was on the phone was private, and the kid should have known better than taking something that did not belong to him.

Absolutely ridiculous. The student should be the one punished, for stealing and for sharing what was (obviously) a private photo. And know I think the superintendent owes her an apology and should resign for being a tool about this.

shameful. the student might as entered her house and rummaged through her drawers and medicine cabinet. phones are no longer just a phone. they hold many privste pieces of info.

Let's go through the super-intendants phone, or his wife's phone. This is incredibly unacceptable. I hope she gets a job offer from another school county! Or the hateful man responsible is fired! I'd like to see reactions from her fellow teachers, see how many are scared themselves.

The student should be held responsible for his actions. A teachers phone is her personal property and he had no right to touch it and definitely no right to search through it and then steal private pictures and plaster them on the Internet. It is unacceptable that the teacher lost her job because of this. She should hire a lawyer and sue them.

Everybody has a right to privacy. The kid who did this was absolutely inappropriate and I hope he is punished to the full extent of the law. You DO NOT share things of a private nature without everybody's consent.

This is unacceptable. The school system is protecting a student that illegally took a phone and shared a private photograph. That is invasion of privacy, unauthorized access to a computer (since smart phones are computers) and possibly sexual harassment. Yet the teacher is punished and is held responsible? They've taught the student that because he's a kid he's not responsible for his own actions and demonstrated that the teacher has no rights.

This is shameful. A student STEALS a phone, and the teacher is blamed? Victim blaming at its worst. What exactly do you think you're teaching children? I guarantee you that you are wrong - all you are teaching them is that people have no expectation of privacy, and oh yeah, find something you find morally unacceptable and that person should be tarred and feathered. Horrible. SO glad I am not raising my child in your schools. She'd be in private school, as I wouldn't stand for your bigotry and victim-blaming.
