This is ludicrous. She has the right to send whatever she wants from her personal device. Her privacy was grossly violated and that is an unwarranted punishment in and of itself. The school district needs to get a grip and utilize a little common sense and courtesy.

Mr. Eubanks, I respectfully urge you to fully reinstate Mrs. Arthur and put this incident behind you. The student was plainly at fault. She did nothing wrong. If I lend you my phone to make a phone call or leave it momentarily unattended in your presence, does that give you the right to go through my photo gallery? No. Would I not have a reasonable expectation of privacy that you should not do so? Yes.

Its a disgrace, a huge disgrace..its a violation accessing private content on a personal item that is not yours to begin with. He should be expelled and she should get her job back...ASAP...or sue their asses

The student should be expelled for stealing and going theought the teacher's phone. Doesn't matter if she had "sexy photo's", she didn't send them to any one but her husband. It's not like she was sending those photos to the students. The student violated her privacy and shouldn't be let go.

If the student had broken into her home and posted photos found there, how would this have been any different? The teacher is a victim.

The superintendent of the school should be aware that the student has committed a federal offence under the school's roof.
As the head of the school, he is ultimately responsible for the actions of the student, and therefore should be incarcerated.

This teacher should be re-instated. She was not in the wrong. What was on her phone was her personal business. The student was in violation of her personal rights. This is a true injustice.

If Ms. Arthur had left her CAR KEYS on the desk for 4 minutes and a student stole them and went joy-riding, would she have been fired for that? Plus, the School Board most likely "encouraged" her to resign so that they would not have to pay unemployment benefits. I truly hope Ms. Arthur files and wins a wrongful dismissal lawsuit. It's sad - the racist, sexist rednecks running South Carolina have turned the state into a joke.
