First the student should be punished not the techer and the school borad honestly believes that one thecher can keep an eye on what 20-28 students for the intire time they are in her class impossible. And how dare that student go through her phone the kid has no respect.

Privacy is privacy. Yes, maybe it's a bit strange to keep nude photographs on one's phone, but a phone is an item of ownership. Whatever is on there belongs to the owner, and should not be invaded by intruding outsiders.

I think it is incidents like this that make me glad that my children are grown and not having to go through the public school system now. They learn absolutely nothing of responsibility and consequences for actions that they commit while under the tutelage and guidance of the trusted senior faculty and they sure don't seem to be being held accountable at home. My heart goes out to this teacher and her family.

It's sad the administrators blamed the victim of a crime in this situation. The teacher should be given her job back with an apology and a monetary settlement.

This is completely sickening the way this woman is being treated. This is just another disgusting case of victim-blaming and this behavior needs to cease immediately. Whether you agree or not, this is a definition of rape; the original meaning of rape originates in the Latin rapere (supine stem raptum), "to snatch, to grab, to carry off"and since the 14th century, the term has come to mean "to seize and take away by force". The student violated the teachers privacy and forcibly took what belonged to her; this is rape. Whether the teacher may have given permission once or even on multiple occasions, this was under her jurisdiction and with her trust being respected. The student violated her and exposed her most private belonging she has, her body. In his mind, she was no longer a woman or even a human being; she was object, a play thing, a toy for him to pass around for all his friends to use. Whether the intent was not malicious, the act is such and is a violation of the woman and her body. The student needs to not only provide a formal apology for the grievances he caused the teacher, but he should have to receive a punishment for the crime he has done. The student violated one of the many digital media laws established to protect individuals privacy, as per retrieved via law forum: You can be sued for publishing private facts about another person, even if those facts are true. The term "private facts" refers to information about someone's personal life that has not previously been revealed to the public, that is not of legitimate public concern, and the publication of which would be offensive to a reasonable person. Sharing private photos of sexual content of another being constitutes as a violation of such. I understand that the student has been apologetic, but at this point, if the school will not re-instate her position for over a circumstance she did not cause, this student needs to receive a punishment because the youth of today need to understand there are

I sincerely hope that the impetuous actions of a teenager illegally obtaining private legal photos does not have a permanent impact on either of their lives. This is a misogynistic witch hunt, if anyone involved should be looking for future employment, I hope it's the superintendent.
