Stunned that the school would take the position they did. The only lesson for anyone to learn here is those students and keeping your hands off other people's property.

Mrs. Arthur is a victim of theft and SHE is the one being punished? That phone is HER property. The student should've been suspended at the drop of a hat and the teacher given a warning - not a pink slip. This principal is undermining his employees and ignoring his responsibility to discipline his students.

The basis of termination here is vehemently flawed. The reason for termination seems to be based solely on the fact that an employee had nude pictures of herself on her personal device (which she undoubtedly did so during her personal time with no involvement of her employer). Notwithstanding further investigation, I see no negligence or malicious intent on the part of the teacher, but rather criminal charges of larceny for the student's actions.

Wonder how many jury pool members will have nude pictures on their phones before the trial starts. (Heck..how about the Judge, Clerk of Court, and School District employees at the county offices?) Keep your chin up Mrs. Arthur.

Total BS. The teacher should have forced them to fire her and then sued them. Fi=ruther more she sould already have a civil and a criminal case going against the 16 year old POS that stole the phone. Forgive him? Nah, lock his little criminal arse up for a couple of years and let him finish high school being someones little beotch.
As for David Eubanks the super, you obviously have your head buried in your anus.

Unless she is reinstated, Ms. Arthur should sue the district for wrongful termination and have the student/thief charged with theft of property and anything else that can stick (including civil charges).

I had her in middle school and have seen her around union too, I know her as a person and she does not deserve this. She is the victim, and her career should not suffer because of a horny little boy.

This is ridiculous - instead of suspending the person who committed the crime of stealing the private photos you are punishing the victim - preposterous.

Why are we teaching kids that victims of theft and s*xual abuse should be punished? I hope the school administrators are investigated to see what kind of r*pe culture they're indoctrinating our kids into.

Mrs. Arthur is the victim here by both the stupid student and the stupid school officials. She did nothing to be ashamed of. The student thief and purveyor of nude photos as well as school officials are the ones who should be ashamed of themselves! Leigh Anne do not let them get away with this! Obviously your students love you and so many of your fellow Americans support you! If you let them get away with this then you give them the eternal right to do it to those you love and support! I know it is your fight but I encourage you and your husband to stand strong and kick their A$$'$ where it counts! Don't let them bully you! Get you a good attorney, take them to court and make them defend their self-righteous act of libel! Amazing how people in positions of power will throw stones until someone opens their closet door! Their own skeletons move them to mistreat their own friends and neighbors! For everyone one of us who sign there are 10,000 more that agree with us!

The students phone should be examined and all the phones pictures were sent to. Than he should be sent to another school. This kid knows wrong from right. Maybe scare his with some police action for theft.

Complete overreaction by the Superintendent. The Teacher should know better and have a pin number or password to unlock the phone but a lapse in security does not mean she should lose her job.
Bring back the teacher. Expel the thief.
