As an educator in SC, I find this ridiculous on the part of the school district. The student who stole her phone, and every student who shared it afterwards, should be held accountable. She should not lose her job because she decided to share naughty photos within her marriage, not with students. Also, I believe the student should lose the privilege of taking part in the career program, mechatronics is a pricey program at local tech schools and colleges that the student gets to take for free. Kick him out.

Why in Chicago am I even reading this on DailyMail.com lead story. Personal property is stolen and then a teacher is exploited and then terminated. I agree with the others - get an attorney and do not settle.

No way in the UNIVERSE let alone world should this teacher have ever been fired!! She did nothing wrong besides keeping her phone private with a code! I hope the student gets reprimanded for his actions! In no way should he be able to get away with his antics! & if the district doesn't do anything, then his parents should! They should show him that this was not the right thing to do & he should be punished ALONG with an apology for his poor behavior & some kind of community/charity work! Thank you

Bad choice by the school and the student who invaded her privacy.... You are showing these students that they can disrespect those teachers and the student doing the wrong will be backed rather than the innocent victim.

What is wrong with this school?!? This student stole a teacher's phone, violated her privacy then bragged about it online then posting her personal photos. How is it that this student has not been punished?? Does this school believe his actions are appropriate?? As if this isn't bad enough the teacher is forced to resign?? What the hell is going on out there?!?! Punish the student, then apologize and beg the teacher to take her job back. Who are these idiots running this school?!?! FFS

Unbelievably bad decision by the school. Abhorrent.

This is a teachable moment - for the student, not the teacher. The school should apologize to the teacher, discipline the student, and reinstate her. Don't double-down on an already bad decision.

Blatant disregard for her rights. This is why our country is being destroyed from within.

The fascist left where all little boys and girls or he/she's and she/he's are all winners and can do no wrong. UHCS OR UCHS whatever it is should just close its doors. No need for teachers when all you promote is radical left feel goodism. Truth be Damned!!!!!!

Our country needs an across the board replacement of school board administrators. Another example of punishing women unfairly.

Her phone and photos were stolen from her by a student. The student should be punished for stealing and Mrs. Arthur should remain teaching.

Dr. David Eubanks is COWARD who sits by and allows a TEACHER to be victimized by a thief and a student! It was HER phone and it was HER private business. What if someone had hid in the bushes of her home and photographed her? Would she be fired for that, too? VOTE OUT Dr. David Eubanks as Superintendent and make your vote count. This idiot must go!

this privacy breach is not the fault of the victim - punish the thief that took it upon themselves to publicize photos which he/she had no business in sharing
