While keeping explicit photos on your phone as a teacher is not a good idea, the student is clearly the one to blame in this situation.

Firing someone for their phone being stolen and their privacy violated not only makes no sense; it's wrong. She is the victim. She did nothing illegal or against school policy - unless having a cell phone violates school policy.
It is not your job to tell people what kind of cell phone pics they can take.

I hope the school does the right thing. If not, I hope Mrs Arthur sues the school and student to the fullest extent of the law. Shame on you Union County Career and Technical Center.

The school & district are pathetic. If the student broke in to her home and took nude pictures of her would he still be innocent?

This is ridiculous. Reinstate this teacher and replace the person that gave her this ultimatum.

What an insane way to treat the victim of sexual harassment. The school board needs to all resign, pay a fine, publicly apologize and pay monitory damages for making a bad situation even worse. God bless this young lady for the forgiveness she has extended to her attacker/s

A serious error in judgement was made by school officials, but they have an opportunity to make it right. They also have a responsibility to punish the student responsible. If he were several years older he would be facing criminal charges and a possible lawsuit.

This is bad. Seems like school districts always hold the teachers accountable but never the students. She has no right to expect her property not to be stolen? Really?

This is BS. The school should be punished for wrongful termination.
