How disgraceful and appalling that this teacher has had her privacy violated after she was a victim of theft! Even more appalling that this woman has now lost her job, while the student perpetrator gets off Scott free! The decision makers in this need to step down immediately, as it is clear that they are absent of common sense and scruples.

I believe the teacher shouldn't be fired for this incident. Through the whole ordeal, she's only been the victim of a cruel and thoughtless teen who not only stole her property but shared sensitive and private information; as well as an uncaring school board who would put her head on the chopping block for this terrible act.

The student should be arrested for stealing and held accountable on a pornography charge. In addition he violated her right to privacy. What was he doing in her belongings anyways.? Where the consequence for this

So someone committed a crime (stealing and invasion of privacy) but the victim is the one being blamed and punished. I think I've heard this one before. Should we assume this SC superintendent also blames rape victims if they wear short skirts?

I think David Eubanks does not realize that the student violated her privacy. It's basically electronic "breaking and entering". If he doesn't realize this, then maybe he should be fired for being an idiot.

Stealing is wrong. Stealing a n public school property is wrong. Stealing from you teacher is wrong. Going through someone's personal property is wrong. If that was my son he would be made to apologize in public. To blame the victim is the perpetualization of this invasion.
