What if the student invaded the teacher's house and took the photos from her property therein? Would the teacher still be punished? The phone is as personal as property as the house is.

The student, an inconsiderate pervert, should be charged with theft and sending graphic images without consent of Mrs. Arthur. He committed a crime!!!! It is not a crime to take pictures of your own body.

Once again, school administrators demonstrate less intelligence and maturity than the youngest of their charges.

The criminal student should be punished, not the teacher. Return her to her position.

If we in this country reprimand someone for another stealing one's private personal belongings & illegally using same without the rightful owners permission, then our society is done & over, as it's a Big Brother move to hurt the victim in anyway, PERIOD!!!! Restore the poor woman, make the victim whole again!!!!

This is absurd. Another example of punishing the victim.

She should not be punished for a students action.

There was no reason for the student to go into her personal phone. The blame is on the student not the teacher. It's hard enough to have women in that type of field of teaching and more women are needed to teach it so that more girls will get interested in engineering futures. And when did some form of nudity ever harm anyone... Never.

As a result of a student's decision to violate Mrs. Arthur's privacy, he found her very private property. Mrs. Arthur did nothing wrong. The student that violated her privacy should be dealt with for his illegal acts.

That 16 year old student should be held accountable for his actions. He stole the teachers phone! Mrs. Arthur should get her job back along with money for the damage that student caused her.

He ( Eubanks) told The State that there is a 'right to privacy, but when we take inappropriate information or pictures, we had best make sure it remains private'. Wow, this man has all the information and that is what he gathers from it. Hey Mr. Eubanks...drum roll...it WAS private!!!! The child stole her phone. Opened it up to dig through her information. He sent the pictures to others. He threatened her with her day of reckoning. But wave your finger at the woman, who "best make sure it remains private". Give her back her job and punish the student already. .

Mrs. Arthur is the victim here on multiple levels. The district really needs to take a hard look at the example they are setting that victims of a growing crime throughout our society should be punished through no fault of their own.

Not a local teacher, but support her just the same.

You should be ashamed of yourselves for making her resign and not punishing the student.
