This teacher done nothing wrong. She didn't deserve to lose her job that she has had I know for over 10 years all because of some immature little boy who wasn't taught not to touch things that don't belong to you. That was her personal cell phone. Even if at a school, it's no less personal. A lock code would have been a lot better but still, the student who decided to be a snake should have been expelled.

The only crime was a stolen phone. I imagine the teacher learned her own lesson about nude pics--btw--can someone please FW them to me?

Invasion of privacy should not be tolerated. Give this lady back her job. We don't have enough good teachers as it is.

The teachers privacy was violated because of a thief. So, why is she being punished?

That was her personal private property. She didn't lend or give the phone to the student, it was STOLEN. What the heck is wrong with this country? what next Donald Trump for President?

Please give her back her job. It's only fair to release the photos. Please don't make me file an opens records request.

How are the actions of the student(s) involved not tantamount to revenge porn? He/she shared personal images with intent to harm/shame/embarrass. (At least from what I can gather from the news)

The action by the school is completely irrational and not reasonably related to a legitimate governmental action. Ms. Arthur has a right to privacy in her "papers" and effects. When her private information is unlawfully disseminated, how can she be held responsible? This is outrageous.

What has happened in this situation is totally ridiculous. Number 1 what's on her phone is her business, 2 he should have been attested for stealing and deformation of character. She did nothing wrong. It is her business if she wants to take pictures on her phone. As a matter of fact I think I would sue and even if offered my job back I would just take my settlement and find another school district to work for because Union County district sucks.

Really!? People go to jail over unauthorized access and distribution of nude pictures, but your going to let this kid off scott-free, AND you forced the teacher to resign!? Your logic is SERRRRIOUSLY flawed. Better rethink it, and give this woman back her job.

She should be reinstated. She did nothing wrong. Plus the student had the same photos after this. Was the student asked to quit school?

Punishing the victim? Really? Fix this wrongdoing and hold the student responsible.

For the head of schools to punish Mrs. Arthur by either firing her or allowing her resignation displays IGNORANCE. Victim blaming is an uneducated response. Who would want to teach a school system that disciplines its teachers for the criminal actions of its students? Good Luck Mrs Arthur. Move away & teach elsewhere.
