I don't feel like she has done anything wrong. The student in the other hand needs to be punished to the fullest.

Let her keep her job for goodness sake

I can't believe that our society is so backwards to actually think the teacher is in the wrong. The student went through the teachers private phone, stole the private pictures and then sent the pictures to others. The student should be the one expelled and the teacher reinstated.

At least suspend the student-what are we teaching our youth by letting him get away with this?!

Disgraceful. The teacher did nothing wrong in this case. The superintendent is the one who should resign.

It shouldn't matter what's on her phone. It's a privacy issue and the student should be suspended. When you open someone's mail it's a federal offence, so why should reading someone's private information be any different!Soundsmore like she's worked there too long time to get rid of her.. Hmmm.

How could the response to this be so backwards? How dare that student violate her privacy this way! And now they are punishing her and nothing happens to him! How is that okay? What do you think this will teach boys about respecting women and more importantly, what consent means and what sexual assault is? This is so wrong. Please reverse this decision immediately!

Unbelievable, superintendent David Eubanks needs to be fired for really bad decision making skills regarding teachers and students. Student needs to be held accountable by law enforcement and teacher needs to be begged, to forgive the school district and accept her job back.

Her privacy is number one here. The student has no respect for anyone's property! The student should be punished!

Where is the justice in all this. Why are they punishing the victim, when the student not only stole from her but also released private sexual pictures to minor..

Mrs. Arthur is the victim, here, and should be reinstated with an apology. Hard to believe the school district would be so unsupportive.

The student violated Mrs. Arthur's privacy when he touched her phone with malice. He should be punished! The teacher did nothing inappropriate. She had the expectation that her property would not be in a student's possession and her private content recorded. Shame on the school for not protecting the teacher from vindictive trespass! What about the golden rule? Do what is right!

This is a fine example of punishing the victim. Shame on you.

This is ridiculous. Your school district is exactly why kids are growing up soft and entitled.

I think the student is to blame here, and it's atrocious that the superintendent is placing the blame on the teacher. It shouldn't be unreasonable for a teacher to expect respect and privacy from her students.

She should not be punished at all. Shame on the school for blaming the victim.

This is really sad, what if she had gone into a students camera and found illicit photos and shared them, how would they feel then? The student (s) responsible should feel some reprocussions from their actions too.

Really? Where's the in school suspension for the students?

How is this her fault at all? Give me a break. This is sickening. I suggest disciplinary action for those that insinuated that this crime was her fault. She certainly has grounds to sue.

If the teacher took the kids phone, she would get fired, but when the kid takes the teachers, the teacher gets fired? This country is going further downhill every day.
