Student totally at fault. Teacher should be reinstated. Student should be expelled from school for theft.

This teacher was the victim of a crime. Why is she the one being punished? This is not how you teach children right from wrong.

The focus should be on the student who acted willfully and purposely criminal in their intent and actions! The offending student is the one responsible for the delinquency of a minor(s). If that student instead stole her car keys and then proceeded to smash her car into the school, injuring children, would she be guilty of a crime? I think not! Based on what happened and how it was handled, she has both criminal and civil grounds for cases against the student, the Superintendent and the District. Insurance premiums had better be up-to-date:-) Good luck Ms. Arthur!

Stop blaming the victim. Fire whomever is responsible for the firing, instead. And discipline the thief.

If she wants her job back it should be an option.

I am appalled that the teacher was put in the position to resign or be fired, yet the student has not been reprimanded.

Highly HIGHLY inappropriate. As a student myself I'm stunned that the teacher is punished beyond reason for doing what is her full right as a woman and wife.

When will we start holding students accountable rather than the people dedicating their lives to them. This is inappropriate.

I am a teacher. The students are not above the law and the photo was theft. Stealing with malice and bad intentions. The student needs to be punished as an adult since he did an adult crime, KNEW he was doing a crime with the intention of having harming that person and stealing her lively hood. This is wrong. This was always wrong and to allow this to go unchecked condones the criminal behavior of students.

In a typical modern American display of injustice, the individual most hurt by this invasion of privacy is the only one to be punished. The school administration should be ashamed, and the true criminal should be expelled and tried in court.

A crime is committed against a woman and she is punished for it while the perpetrator goes free. Welcome to rape culture.

How can this child NOT be punished? Ridiculous! I hope you offer her her job back, and she tells you to all go to HE** for the way you have treated her. This was a blatant violation of privacy, and a menacing, vicious act. The boy is 16- he should be punished. Goodness knows who he will violate next.

I thought this was fake at first... I'm from Florida and heard about this through the DailyMail snapchat story. This is outrageous. How can she be fired like that when the little punk did all of that. I hate my generation. Learn right and wrong. Maybe your parents didn't teach that to you, but we all have rights. One of those rights is personal property. Reinstate her!!!
