David Eubanks should be ashamed of himself. He's so busy covering the district's ass that he is unable to behave like a leader and support the teachers. He should probably run for president - he would fit right in with those losers.

Absolutely a shame that someone can steal something of yours and you can get blamed for the consequences. Nothing is done to this student by the school? Really? Students get punished for much less serious infractions than this but this student gets away with theft and something like this and the school system lets it go. Shame on this school system for trying to make it the teachers fault.

The fact that a teacher suffers from a STUDENT'S actions is unprofessional and reflects worse on the school rather than the actual teacher. Do the right thing and bring repercussion towards the student. The teacher had her privacy violated. If this was one of you, you'd be running circles around a school board. Don't make the world do the same to you for one bad call. Do what's right.

If it had been a male teacher doing this to a female student would you be blaming the female student? It is not the teachers fault that a student blatantly went through her phone and accessed her private photos and proceeded to take pictures of the photos with his own phone. Clearly this was a very well thought out purposeful action and the student knew what he was doing when he did this. He clearly knew it was wrong. He hid the fact that this situation had occurred until well after the damage to this teacher was done. Don't you think if she had known she would have put a stop and taken his phone from him and deleted the picture he had taken? Instead of having empathy for your school's teacher you fired her and used her as a scapegoat in media basically saying she was asking for it. Sorry but in this day and age women are not asking to be victims of sexual crimes, which on top of privacy invasion is what this really should be considered as due to the nature of the pictures he stole from her phone and spread. I call for her to be offered her job back with paid leave until the start of the next school year if she chooses to do so. I also call for the school board to review you and your inappropriate response and action in all this. You have done more damage to your school and it's reputation than the damage you claimed this innocent teacher caused. I also call for all students responsible for spreading the picture or even viewing it to have to host a special assembly in front of the whole school on why stealing, spreading images or bullying in general is wrong and how it can hurt both the victim and the perpetrator. I don't think they need to be expelled but they need to learn that this is not right. Your correct that the main student responsible is going to be handed some form of justice from a court but I'm sorry not expelling him is a disservice to the entire female populace of your school. He is the one you should have truly have

If a teacher did this to a student it would be considered invasion of privacy. It should be held to the same standard going the other way. The student needs to be taught that what they did was illegal. There will be consequence. It's not like she left the photos openly on her desk. They were in a phone. The student had to dig through digital stuff to get them. Mrs. Arthur should NOT be at fault.

The student should be held accountable. For stealing property, code of conduct, and wrongful use of explicit images and distribution to minors. As for the teacher, a reprimand and transfer.
