Wrong is wrong!!! This woman did not intend this picture for anyone else other than her husband!!! Why hasn't the 16 year old been reprimanded??

The school district should be ashamed of themselves!

Yet another case of a school not supporting their staff. This woman was not at fault

The victim in this scenario is the teacher. Shame on the administration for not comprehending that.

There has to be a line drawn. Private is private. The student who violated the teacher's privacy must take responsibility.

I find it unbelievable that Mrs. Arthur is getting treated in this way. HER privacy has been violated. And the message that is being sent to the students (and meanwhile, due to media coverage, the world) is that it is acceptable to punish a woman for daring to be healthy and sexual in her private life. Welcome to the stone age...

This student had done an awful thing. There's no reasonable reason to punish the teacher. Just think about it!

Leigh Anne Arthur did nothing wrong. It is appalling that she is being punished for being the victim of an invasion of privacy.

The teacher has a right to privacy. The student didn't just walk past and see the photo displayed on the screen. He made the choice to pick up and go through her phone. If the school system wants to stand by their action based on the idea that she is morally wrong for taking the picture then the student should be expelled on the moral grounds of disrespecting an adult and for violating her privacy. Reinstate the teacher and punish the student.

Bogus! This school district with their lack of backbone disgusts me.

Indeed she did nothing wrong, while this kid is seemingly getting away with breaking and entering, theft, making threats, and sharing what doesn't belong to him. He needs to be reprimanded with his unethical behavior.

Theft is theft. The teacher is the victim.

This is a gross invasion of privacy, she has a RIGHT to privacy. What kind of message does this send to students across America? Surely people should be offering a more empathic response to this. How demeaning is this? I hope she finds a teaching career very soon; the way she has been treated is appalling. I wish her the best.

The school board or anyone in administration responsible for her dismissal should be ashamed
