I hope the student is charged with appropriate felony charges.

This is an invasion of the teachers privacy. Punish the student - he deserves it.

Student going through her phone should be punished and she should get her job back.

The teachers phone was taken without permission by a student, her privacy violated, a nude picture of her made permanently public and then she is forced to resign. Where is the Teacher's Union???

Taking someone's phone and taking the time to open app's and seek and search for private information. It doesn't just stop at pictures, but begins with other private information. Medication, passwords, credit cards the list can go on. This is serious.

Total invasion of privacy. Student should be disciplined by the school and charged with a crime. she has been hurt twice, Once by the student and then by the school.

Unreal, the burden of privacy has shifted. If the student walked into her home to obtain a picture, eve if the doors were unlocked, would we argue the same way? I am also willing to sign a petition to see the kid be expelled from school and any active participant in the passing of the photograph punished as well. This is completely backward.

The student must be punished , not the teacher. I'd expel the boy for stealing.

The student is the one who should be punished. He stole the photo from Mrs. Arthur's phone, she did not post it publicly. The victim should not be punished!

What happened to personal privacy rights? That kids should have been jailed for theft of private property, and expelled. Bring back the cane!

What does it say about a society where the victim is punished because of an honest mistake after years of good service, and the trespasser/theif goes free?

I think the teacher should get her job back because she didn't do anything wrong, that juvenile student did and he should be expelled from school.
I hope the student is charged with appropriate felony charges.
