What an absolute disgrace and a violation of Mrs. Arthur's rights. ~signed by the loving mother of a 15 year old who should have been expelled if he'd done this but who would've also gotten his ass kicked when he got home.

Leigh Anne Arthur is the victim, and her firing by the school is immoral, unethical, and incredibly stupid!

Invasion of privacy/trespassing digitally. End of story.

That kid needs to pay for what he did. She has an inalienable right to a certain level of privacy, and what is locked inside her cellphone falls within those bounds.

Apparently, Union County High does not believe in a person's right to privacy. Mrs. Arthur has done nothing wrong. She should sue the pants off the school board.

School administrators who coddle the thief/criminal and punish the victim are not qualified to hold positions of authority in any educational setting. They demonstrate a complete failure to understand accountability or model ethical behavior.

People shouldn't be touching or handling things that aren't theirs without permission. Doesn't matter if it's out in the open if it's not yours don't touch it, we would be better off if people just followed that rule.

She should have never lost her job and that student should be charged for theft.

This is so wrong. As a married and Christian woman who has sent nude photos to her HUSBAND and forgot to delete them off my phone --- that is HER RIGHT. She did not make these photo public. Someone took her phone, photos and smeared her name through the mud. This teacher may be great at what she does and nothing but appropriate with eveyone at this school and everyone she is in contact with - but she is not allowed to have a personal life and make adult decisions that she kept private on her OWN cellphone?! C'mon... We have had presidents do much worse and then make it public themselves.

Every situation should be evaluated for it's unique circumstances, and so far this has not been done. Mrs. Arthur was not at fault; she was the victim in this situation. The student is old enough to know better and should be disciplined.

It's absolutely no one's business what Mrs. Arthur had on her phone whether it be nude photos or cute cat pictures, and the student had no right to invade her privacy, let alone blackmail and distribute those photos. What I've come to see in my educational career and on social media is that inappropriate behavior such as bullying is disregarded, and it's the victim who gets punished.

This is very upsetting. Bring the teacher back, give the offending student some consequences.

Reinstate her.

The teacher deserves a better school and a formal apology.

This situation is outrageous and unacceptable. The student should be punished not the teacher. I urge you to do the right thing and reinstate her.
