I'm baffled to see an organization screw over its own employees in a disrespectful manner like this. I highly suggest that the people in charge resign. If you don't protect your own employees from criminal acts, who in their right mind would entrust their children to go to this school. If the people that made this call don't realize how crazy this is, I highly doubt that these people are fit to shape the leaders of tomorrow. After all, it got me (a totally unrelated Dutch person) to sign this petition.

Greetings from the UK!. This teacher should be allowed to return. since when is leaving your phone unattended an offense? How dare a student browse/ copy images from someone elses phone..

This 'insignificant' petition is all over social media worldwide now. Maybe it's David Eubanks who should be forced to resign - not least for having no understanding of the power of the internet. Maybe that is why he doesn't understand the seriousness of what this student has done, and the inappropriateness of forcing resignation on a teacher who has been abused.

It is the superintendent who should be dismissed for his poor choices in who should be punished for crimes committed. Reinstate Mrs. Arthur to her teachings with a raise!

I am utterly schocked by Mr. Eubanks reaction. He could have taught his pupils a valueable lesson about respect of private sphere and also of open-mindness, as one's past time activities are only his/ her only concern. If you ask me this guy is the wrong role model for our children! Very narrow minded!

As a teacher, I am outraged by what the district has done to this teacher. Leigh Ann Arthur is the victim of a blatant attack of her privacy by illegal means. Personal photographs were illegally obtained by a student. The person who needs to be punished is the student. The district's release of Mrs. Arthur is not only unacceptable but outrageous and must be reversed.

No one has the right to, or should be encouraged to, violate personal property, or the basic right to privacy, ANY school official doing so (even if doing so by not acting against those who transgress against another) is encouraging ciminal behaviour and should be stripped of ALL influence over our children....David Eubanks is just such a person and should therefore be removed from ever holding a position of authority, ESPECIALLY when it comes to children.
His (in)action in this matter show a clear amd present danger to the morality of this and future generations.

This incident show a vicious blame the victim mentality. Also it is extremely anti-sex, even in the context of a marriage. The district is living by extremely archaic vicious religious guideline.
