This was wrong what the student did, and was more wrong of the superintendent to force you to resign.

The tables have turned and we have put the student in charge. This is the problem with society. This is why our youth feel so entitled. This is why they are disrespecting law enforcement and employers, as well as each other. As educators it is your job to help instil a sense of personal responsibility and accountability for ones actions. What you are doing in this situation is the complete opposite and I'm ashamed for our country. You have reflected poorly on this nation as a whole. Shame on you.

This teacher has been through enough! These adults and parents condone bad behavior when things like this happen. BRING HER BACK AND PUNISH THE LITTLE PUNK.

As a future teacher it is so amazing to see young students such as yourselves doing this for a teacher.

The administration at this school is an absolute joke completely devoid of reason based on their handling of this situation.

The teachers the victim here and should not be held accountable for the students actions. The photograph was on her phone which is her personal property and it's no business of the school.

Another case of bureaucratic overreach. Punish the students and, for Christ's sakes, use the sense that God gave you in these situations!

I'm appalled at the fact the student is not being treated as if he did wrong. The content of her phone is private and she need not explain herself. The student(s) who did this should be punished according to the deed. They did it maliciously and to be funny. I strongly earge the school to show them how funny it really is. Its shameful to intentionally steal and then use it to humiliate a person.

The student should be expelled for sending inappropriate material to underage students and brought up on charges for the delinquency of minors. He openly threatened the teach so he knew full and well what he was doing

A person cannot be in 2 places at once. You can't demand that a teacher be at her door, monitoring the hallways between class changes AND expect for her to be inside the classroom supervising the students already in class! The only thing she could have done any different is to have her phone password protected and keep it in her purse, locked in her desk. However, the only time a teacher can use her phone is between class changes. It is ridiculous of what is asked of a teacher, who must have a 4 year degree, and barely gets paid more than minimum wage.

Okay, if you sign this petition, you're an idiot. She wasn't "let go" or "fired." She resigned. Yes, if she had not resigned, she would have been fired, but the fact remains, she resigned. Bringing an unsecured phone with naked images and leaving it on a desk is the same as bring a folder full of naked pictures.or a wallet with naked pictures. If she is that dumb, she deserves to be fired. And deserves never to work as a teacher again. She was a teacher in the mechatronics program, and she doesn't know how to secure a cellphone??? She should count her blessings that she's not on the sex-offender registry for distributing porn to minors. And she will find that once porn gets distributed, it NEVER goes away. Those selfies will live FOREVER on the internet. The students involved are under investigation. Good.

This is ridiculous! No teacher should be punished for a personal life that is exposed by a vengeful student. She has done NOTHING wrong! Those that have punished her should be punished.

The student should be punished. The teacher was in no way wrong but should keep a passcode on her phone from here on out.

To the authorities; please recognize that this teacher has done nothing wrong and is the victim. Regardless of the laws surrounding any action that should be taken against the student, at the very least the teacher should be apologized to and reinstated. Do the right thing.
