This is ridiculous. A student steals personal property from a teacher and you punish the teacher? The backwards, sexually prudish school board has it's priorities in the wrong place.

The student should be expelled, and dealt criminal charges. The teacher should be reinstated.

Firing the teacher when a student invaded her privacy is completely asinine.

This is unacceptable. What the hell do you think you're doing? Victim blaming, shame on you. He shouldn't have access her phone. The kid is responsible and should be done for it

Absolutely horrible. This woman deserves her job back and the student needs to get in massive trouble, disgusting that this is how the world works.

I find it absolutely disgusting that this woman will lose her job due to the absolutely horrible behavior of one of her 16-year-old students. This will set a disturbing precedent that I refuse to stand behind.

Her phone was her personal property, and the student should be punished for invading her privacy. She was a married woman and what goes on between her and her husband is entirely between them. She did not give the boy the photo, he decided to creep through her phone, and HE should be the one that has to face consequences for his actions, not the victim.

It's shameful that this is even an issue. The student needs a "reckoning" with his parents, and there is absolutely no sensible reason to have encouraged the teacher to leave her position.

This student should be ashamed and accordingly punished. The school board should all step back and take a look at what their responsibilities are.

Here's an idea. How about we hold the person that stole the photos responsible instead of blaming the victim.

The student was in the wrong. The teacher did nothing illegal.

Punish the offender not the victim
This isn't fair to the teacher
