Punishing the victim of theft teaches all your students the wrong thing. Please reconsider.

She should not be punished for being sexually harassed.

This woman's privacy was invaded. She should still have her job. The student who took it upon themselves to commit criminal act should be disciplined.

The prudes on her school board need to get over it. The sooner society stops shaming sexuality and things like nude pictures, the better, because it will take all the power out of the hands of the people who use it to harass and destroy lives.

Disgusting. Everybody has a right to privacy in their own lives. He picked her phone up and took pictures WITHOUT her permission/awareness. He is clearly the one in the wrong.

Teachers and students alike have a reasonable expectation of privacy. The student who took Mrs. Arthur's phone invaded that right and should be punished appropriately. Would the student be punished if he had stolen items from another student's bag? Most likely. This situation is no different. The cowardice displayed by the administration due to the nature of the photographs is laughable.

Public schools should not victimize their teachers when students break the law.

Unbelievable choice that needs to be reversed. This should be treated as a sexual harassment case if anything, considering that the student stole the photos and distributed them without consent. What has that 16 year old learned from this? Please reconsider.

Mrs. Author needs to be reinstated IMMEDIATELY and the person who is responsible for this scandal needs to be held accountable. It is outrageous that this is even an issue and that the person who's privacy was invaded is being punished. Did she show poor judgement by taking the photos? Maybe. But they are private pictures that are on her private device that someone decided to invade. Ill bet if we looked on that boy's phone we would find things that he would not want all over social media and sent to other people. Hold this little boy accountable! I cannot even believe that this is a topic of discussion! DISGUSTING.

She is ENTIRELY innocent in this ordeal and should be rehired immediately. The student should be punished for their actions.

This story is heartbreaking, the mere fact the Mrs. Arthur has showing understanding and grace in forgiving the 16 yo student (in the face of blatant invasion of privacy and a borderline hacking charge) shows she is someone with the necessary character to help develop these kids into functioning and productive adults.

She is the kind of teacher that school students need. We should also be sending a message to students in the Western world that they are privileged in receiving the education they get.
