Bring Back Mrs. Arthur

It's unconscionable that the school board would choose to punish the victim of a sexual violation by firing her. Their claim that she left her personal, private photos in a location accessible to students is as ridiculous as telling a teacher that she didn't take proper precautions if a student pantsed her in front of the class. I hope the school board chooses to do the right thing and reinstates her--and punishes the student who blatantly violated her privacy and gained unauthorized access to her device. This action on his part is illegal in many states, and it's absurd that the school board hasn't punished him accordingly.

The student was in the wrong the second he picked up her phone. Make no mistake that picture was stolen regardless of whether the phone was locked.

This school will make itself an international embarrassment if it doesn't reinstate Mrs. Arthur!

Student is absolutely in the wrong, teacher still forgives him. Somebody like Mrs. Arthur is truly the epitome of forgiveness a human can have.

Logic is severely lacking here. She had her privacy invaded and lost her job for it. Some people need their heads screwed on straight and it worries me those people are in charge of running schools.

Leigh Anne Arthur is the victim of a blatant attack of her privacy. You will be doing an injustice if you fail to reinstate Mrs. Arthur, and no doubt bring negative publicity to the school on a national level.

So if a student say, broke into a teacher's home and took pictures of them in the shower, would that warrant the end of a career as well?

My school would never have tolerated this behavior from any student. Teachers are hard enough to come by, especially great ones. Keep teaching the US that it belongs in the dump because of its obvious trashing of our only things that put us ahead: Teachers.

Reinstate the teacher. Punish the student for violating her privacy. Fire the superintendent for total incompetence and make sure he is never in a position of responsibility again.

I don't think this is a good cause for someone to lose their career. Especially when the individual is so respectable and understanding. Give her back her job

Private pictures stolen from someone should not result in the victim being punished, common sense.

The student is in the wrong, not the teacher. He stole her phone.

This is an outrageous perversion of justice and must not be permitted by anyone with a conscious

People are entitled to a reasonable expectation of privacy. If that privacy is violated without warrant or consent, unless that person is determined to be a danger to themselves or others there should be no repercussions. Your teacher is the victim here and this is an atrocious miscarriage of justice.
