It is disgraceful that Union County High School would punish a teacher for being the victim of a gross and malicious violation of her privacy.

Insanely poor decision by the school. Discipline the boy for poor behavior, apologize to Mrs. Arthur and reinstate her, and remove Mr. Eubanks from his position.

The thought of punishing the victim is downright pitiful.

The teacher never made a mistake. The second that student picked up her phone he was in the wrong. Give the teacher back her job and discipline the student.

Give Mrs. Arthur her job back. This is so backwards, it makes the US appear uncivilized.

Students fault. This teacher shouldn't have to lock her phone as it is her property and was taken without consent.

She didn't do anything wrong. This student is 16 and not 6. In some other countries he is considered old enough to be tried for crimes like murder. He is capable enough to know what is right and what is wrong!

"Punish the victim, not the wrong doer". Says it all in my opinion. If I leave my wallet on the table and someone I know steals it, I suppose I should pay a fine then? What backwards thinking is that? Not to mention the invasion of privacy that happened here. Hope Mrs. Arthur will get her job back. She's got my support!

Mrs. Arthur had her privacy violated. It was in no way her fault that happened.

Bring her back! She deserves to be teaching, and should not be fired for the offense of one of her students.

It is unacceptable that an American citizen's rights to privacy were violated after being a victim of theft and exploitation. The fact that she has now lost her job and reputation because of this is atrocious.

The student is the one who deserves punishment. The teacher did absolutely nothing wrong.

That was an invasion of privacy on the students part and she should not loose her employment over that.
