The district's handling of the situation is absolutely unacceptable. They are the ones who should be condemned, not the teacher or the students.

I am not distributing hatred towards the boy at fault, I understand he'll deal with his actions for a long time (hopefully), but this poor teacher will have to deal with it as well because he did something he says he's sorry for maybe he shouldn't have done it to begin with, what does his actions say for himself or his parents and how they've raised him for that matter.

It is horrendous to know a teacher can be fired because of a student misbehaving. I personally believe this superintendent deserves to be fired.

If anyone should lose their job over this incident, it should be the idiot administrator with zero common sense.

To me it sounds like a case of jealousy for some reason on the part of the "interim" superintendent.

Information on someone's phone is private. There was no search warrant involved, and no crime was committed in her taking or sending this photo to her husband. The fact that the school is blaming her for a student's misbehavior is utterly absurd and the district should be ashamed.

Do not believe the teacher should be bearing the brunt of this.

What the student did was wrong but the reaction from the district was worse.
I wish you the best of luck.

I think the fact that her students have gone to these lengths to try to reinstate Mrs. Arthur speaks volumes as to the kind of teacher she *really* is.
A teacher who garners this amount of loyalty from her students is a credit to the school and a credit to the teaching profession.
She should not have been punished because her privacy was violated and a photo that was meant to be private between her and her husband was stolen and published.
The school system should be ashamed of its actions and reinstate Mrs. Arthur, though I'm sure, based on their handling of the situation thus far, that won't happen.

While it wasn't the most intelligent thing to leave a photo of herself on her phone, it was HER phone and sent to her HUSBAND. The student should be arrested for theft, harassment, AND distributing porn.

This world is going down hill when the victim receives more punishment than the perpetrator.

This is ridiculous. This cannot be allowed to go on. That you punish a teacher for a student misappropriation of her iPhone . In other words the student stole the phone. Then come and get all you fire the teacher but don't punish the student! You have some gull School Board!! I hope everyone remembers every single one of you come election time and that every single one of you is put under the street as you did this teacher. Make this right hire her back and punished the student as it should have been done originally! End of rant!

Give this teacher her job back. It is clear she is the victim and the student is at fault. This is blatant victim blaming that should not exist in 2016.

This decision is against human rights. When a student breach privacy and property rights, it is not fair to hold the teacher responsible. A crime is a crime, the boy is to punish, because he has known, what he has done.
