The student touched property that was not his. He violated her personal property and used it for his own gain. It's inappropriate. The fact that his disturbed this material without consent makes me a porn distributor.,

Clear the woman's name. Put this kid in jail as an example of what will happen.

At what point do we hold students responsible for their behavior?

Unbelievable. The student that stole the photos is clearly in the wrong, the moment he picked up the phone. The photos were not made available to the student, they were STOLEN. The student even threatened to distribute them?

This child and that's what he is as a child stole somebody's personal belongings opened it up illegally and without consent and spread information about this teacher to the school. that is slander and it is highly inappropriate that this child has not been punished for that

That this teacher was fired is honestly a travesty. A 16 year old knows better than to do this and absolving him from any responsibility while punishing his victim is ridiculous. This boy will now learn that his actions don't have consequences.

Shameful decision by the school. There is no fault here but that of the student's, and of those continuing to circulate the image.

You're teaching the wrong thing here. We have a right to (assumed) privacy in this country. The student should be expelled and the teacher should be reinstated with apologies. The lesson you're teaching is; wanna get back at a teacher? Wait until their back is turned and invade their privacy and find anything you can. Shame on the Union County High School...if my kids were in that school, I'd move them out of there. Ridiculous!

Ms. Arthur only did one thing wrong... had trust in her students to not disrespect her private belongings. It's the same as rummaging through her purse.

This teacher should not be punished for a privacy violation and potentially illegal action by a student.
