The kid that stole her phone should be the one being punished.

I'd hope that a school would want to maintain a reputation of making smart choices, instead of morally unfair ones.

This is ridiculous. Reminds me of when celebrity women got their phones hacked by some jerk and people tried to blame the women for even having those types of photos.

I've read about the story and i'm very disappointed about the teacher's dismissal. It was her private content and the student needs to be punished, not her.

As a full supporter of privacy rights both on a global scale and on a personal scale, and in full support of teachers around this country, I call for the student to be apprehended and the teacher be reinstated with her original position.

Absolutely ridiculous. Reinstate Mrs. Arthur and charge the kid. I can't even imagine the emotional damage he's done.

Come on, this is ridiculous. No one is responsible for having their personal property stolen. Whatever happens to the student who accessed her phone illegally, and shared her private pictures without her permission, she is no way responsible for that.

Her photos were stolen - this should not be a fireable offense.

The student violated her privacy and inappropriately accessed her phone. The student is in the wrong and she should not be punished for what the student did. It's the same as firing her if the student peeped through her window and filmed her having sex.

She deserves her teaching position back, abs the student that went through her phone needs to be expelled or put on suspension.

Punish the kids that stole the phone and invaded this poor teachers privacy. What she does in her spare time outside of teaching should not affect her career.
