Its quite sad that the teacher is the one who is being punished for this when it is her privacy that was invaded.

Mrs. Arthur's termination is outrageous and illegal. I hope this woman gets in contact with a good legal team, and her contract restored. Shame on that boy, 16 or not, everyone knows right or wrong by that age. Expel him and don't let him near his victim ever again.

This is an absolute invasion of privacy on behalf of the student, who, in many other state, would face both academic and potentially criminal charges. In no way the fault of the teacher.

This is ridiculous, the kid should be the one to be suspended not the teacher. What the hell were these administrators thinking?

I think it's quite obvious who needs to be disciplined and it's not the teacher.

As a college student studying to become a teacher I see it to be wrong that a teacher is to be punished for having "sexy" pictures of themselves. What a woman chooses to do with her body is her business. Unless there is a sexual abuse situation going on, there is no reason a teacher should loose their job.

This is disgusting. I can't believe we live in a world where people (women) are blamed when their PRIVATE photos are stolen and then shared on the Internet (which is illegal). Hold these students responsible and give this woman her job back.

This is a invasion of privacy. Working in the IT field we handle sensitive data and clients trust us to maintain their privacy. We see nude photos expicit messages and ignore them because as an agent we uphold client privacy to fix and repair their devices.

This is a great example of a school district protecting itself from the specter of impropriety at the cost of, by all accounts, an excellent educator career. If the district had simply punished the student I'm sure this wouldn't have become national news.

I think it's time to go back to the old ways, where students are given the consequences of their actions and not put the blame on teachers.
This is absurd as possibly illegal.
