If it had been her wallet with a nude picture in it, she would not be in trouble nor should she be now. It's her right to have private photos in her private property. - Victim blaming is one thing, but actually beating on them is incredibly uncivilized and backwards!

Someones phone is private property, no matter how you access it, your breaking and entering something that is not yours. Children have to learn boundaries, this child needs to be taught that.
Please reinstate this teacher.
I, myself, would never work for a weak superintendent that would not stand up for the privacy rights and bullying rights of all individuals at his schools.

No one has the right to go through someone else's private things. I think the student should GO TO JAIL. not juvenile jail, REAL ADULT JAIL! You want to be a big boy, then MAN UP you little punk!!!

Her property and he was trespassing. We can't blame the teachers when the student had the intention of ruining her reputation. We have to hold the student accountable for what they did because that picture was not sent out by her and it wasn't visible to the students until said student trespassed.

The law no longer protects teachers or adults in that matter - children have more rights than you. They can end your career/life in an instant if you even look at them funny, thanks to charities and "human rights".

Sadly, this is exactly the type of teacher we need in America to help instill science and engineering into our children, which we so woefully lack. I suspect the school district spent thousands of dollars to train her in STEM as well, and now wish to just throw all of that away instead of expelling and prosecuting the thief in this matter.

Nobody has the right to get a private writen or graphic information from a third person and spread by publishing it in any mean, without her consent. this is a crime and the victim has not why to be penalized, this it is another crime agains such lady (teacher).

If the facts are as stated, we as teachers often have surprise duties thrown upon us. She SHOULD be able to leave her phone on her desk which is her space. The child who violated her privacy should be punished. He invaded her personal life and needs to learn a lesson. The school needs to rethink its position. Does anyone wonder why there is a teacher shortage? I have been doing it for 31 years but can't wait to get out.

This is a very sad thing to see that now students with technology can bully and harass there teacher with there own phone. She obviously had enough trust in her classroom to leave her cellphone there but the point is that boy invaded her privacy and made her private photos viral and a joke which is sickening to me quite honestly what was his reasoning? that it was hilarious? it was a prank gone too far? I very much hope that once he is released from the juvenile detention center that his parents take it upon themselves develop consequences for there child so that this never occurs again. which is why I am signing this petition Mrs.Arthur deserves her job back and I don't even know her personally. But if we let the school system get away with firing her that means that other teachers could be liable to a mistake like this one and will be forced to resign every time.
