It is DISGUSTING that something like this could happen in America. Actually, it WOULDN'T happen in "America." ONLY in the IGNORANT, Old Confederate south, BIBLE BELT states.

The school district needs a wake-up call and to properly place blame.

I feel absolutely disgusted at the way Mrs Arthur was treated. If this happened in the workplace the person who stole the photos would go to JAIL. Regardless of what happens to Mrs Arthur I hope she takes those stupid idiots to court. Maybe then he'll realise how one moment of a lapse of any sort of judgetment or common sense can reflect on you for the rest of your life.

Utterly insane. Give her the job back, prosecute the student.

Get this teacher their job back. What they do in the privacy of their home is their business.

Thank you for standing up for your teacher. I hope the amount of attention will cause the district to reconsider its actions.

This was a violation in more ways than simple theft. Not only should this teacher get her job back, and a public, formal apology from the district for firing her in the first place. The student needs to be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

This is absurd... How can we not hold our youth accountable for their own actions and hold teachers accountable for what starts in the home... THERE PARENTS NEED TO BE CHANGE IF ANYTHING!!!

We all make mistakes. Bring back Mrs. Arthur because we want to. Not because of revenge for a student's actions who can be easily taught to not make such decisions again. It's what Mrs. Arthur would want.

This is ridiculous; I am sure the person at the top of the school district wouldn't want to lose their job if their private life got leaked out. Support from Macomb, Michigan! <3

I find it despicable that the student was undisciplined even though he was touching, let alone going through something that didn't belong to him without permission.

If you treat your teachers like garbage, you are going to get garbage teachers.

Reinstate and punish the student

This teacher should not be the one who is punished.

If this boy had done the same thing to a female student, it would be considered bullying at least, or at worst sexual harassment. But when it happens to a teacher, it is the teacher's fault?
