I am a teacher and this is totally unacceptable! This student needs to be punished!

Bring her back, she is clearly innocent of all charges.

If I leave my front door unlocked, will you jail me for being robbed?

There was no wrongdoing on the part of the teacher.

People, including teachers have private lives. The student knew exactly what they were doing, and what would happen following.

That's the education system for you. Punishing someone for something on a private device and not the person actually in the wrong.

Teacher wasn't in the wrong. Her property was appropriated.

The faculty should be ashamed, this is an unacceptable course of actions to resolve the situation

The student that took the personal property should be held responsible; not the person doing their job.

Every teacher has a right to a private life! I bet most teachers would have what the school seems 'inappropriate' material on their phones, should all of them keep their 'teacher hats' on 24 hours a day?

While it wasn't very smart of the teacher to bring her phone to work with that photo on it, the fact of the matter is that this photo was stolen from her. The student needs to be punished for theft.

The students involved are the ones who should be punished. I wish Mrs. Arthur all the best.

Allow her to teach at the school again. Apologize to her. Punish the student appropriately.

I don't know if these ever work, but at least it will shed some light on another egregious decision made in our joke of an education system.

The school district effectively claims that teachers are not people, as it denies them their right to a private life. I highly doubt they pay them enough to deny them their right to privacy.
