Forced to resign because a stupid little immature pubescent child stole stole from her, but the idiot child goes unpunished?! Pathetic.

The superintendent should resign, clearly he has no concern for the teachers in his district.

A petition may not be enough. These students should protest until this poor teacher gets their job bag. I'm not usually one for hopping on online petitions but this piece of news I read this morning filled me with disgust and hatred towards the American education system and its policies.

The superintendent does not have the judgement required to do his job. To think about the precedents this sets is mind bending.

She was password protected. No negligence on her part He illegally hacked the phone. He illegally stole picks off phone. He is a criminal and learning his lesson.

TYT did a great segment on what happened to your teacher and brought this petition to my attention, I sincerely hope your teacher gets reinstated.

A student commits a crime against someone & it's the victim who pays further? What kind of upside down world is this? Shameful!

Inconscionable response by the superintendent. This story breaks my heart. I wish only that the superintendent finds his.

It is absolutely ludicrous that this woman lost her job because a student willfully invaded her privacy.

Our children deserve to live in a society in which they are not forced to participate in the sexual humiliation of an educator by accepting her pointless dismissal for being a victim of a crime. We're better than this!

It was inexcusable for Mrs Arthur to be fired because a thief stole her phone. He should be punished and expelled from school.

Why TF would they blame the teacher? That's a load of BS. The student should've been suspended or expelled for going through a teacher's phone. Sure she maybe should've kept a closer eye on the kid, but that still doesn't dictate that he has the right to go through her private pictures.

It is unconscionable that Mrs. Arthur is being punished for the wrongdoing of a student. What message is this "administrator" sending to the youth of South Carolina and the public. That in this particular educational system it is the innocent that are punished not the guilty. Shameful!

What a massive invasion of privacy. The school doesn't even seem to be reprimanding this kid for having stolen a teacher's property.

It's ridiculous she did nothing wrong it's a picture of a human body and it was a theft of her property to boot let's show some intelligence here

The superintendent should be fired for what he did.

This is just wrong! It's the students fault not hers...
