So you want to teach the pupil the lesson that "If the cops ain't around, rob a bank"

It's retarded how things work in this world. The teacher did nothing wrong, the one who's at wrong is the kid. I could write a long text about this very subject but I'm not gonna.

This firing is ridiculous. Don't punish your staff for the wrongs of their students.

This was a cruel and callous violation of that woman's right to privacy and it should be obvious that she did not intend anyone to see those photos. That she did not guard her phone better is irrelevant; would you punish a teacher who had their wallet stolen by a student?! Expel that student, reinstate that teacher, and don't answer an injustice with an injustice!

The student acted in a willful and malicious manner. He should be punished and held responsible. That was her private property. What is so difficult to understand about that?

My wife is a teacher and I would hope she would receive the support Mrs. Arthur is getting if something like this ever happened to her.

Yes. Her only mistake was being too trusting. I hope she can remain positive and optimistic after this.

It is insane that she was fired. The student was in the wrong.

Those students must face disciplinary action.

The teacher did nothing wrong and students should be punished for these stunts.

This makes the entire district look ridiculous. It's very clear that the kids are running the show at that school, and now the teachers are at their mercy. Hear that, kids? If you don't like a teacher, just invade their privacy and they'll get fired!

This teacher was a *victim* here and should not be punished because someone invaded her privacy. She should reinstated at once.

The student should be expelled. Mrs. Arthur should be reinstated.

I don't have all the information, of course, but the information that I do have points to a failure in upper administration to handle this situation properly-- appalling assignment of blame to a victim. The student should be held responsible.

The student responsible for this should be arrested for violating privacy laws and expelled from the school. If not, then the teachers at that school need to watch their backs around that kid. It's sad that the students not responsible for perpetrating this wrong will miss out on the mechatronics class, as those areas of study are very important for their futures.

The student was completely in the wrong and should be ashamed of himself. Mrs Arthur has done nothing wrong!
