The student was wrong for picking up her phone. She did not do anything wrong.

Teacher's privacy was violated by a minor who had cognizance of wrongdoing. Believe the victim is being persecuted here.

I hope she wins. Not like she would want to work at a place who has done this, however, she should in no way be faulted!!

Leigh Anne is the victim here, and she deserves to keep her job!

Teachers can not be sterile robots, we are people and with that comes personality - and weakness.. I can not imagine why the school is not standing by their teacher in this case. I am a teacher and I find this baffling...

She's handled this situation as admirably as anyone could. Sexuality is nothing to be shamed, especially when it is in the from of a picture on one's own device.

To suggest that this gross violation of Mrs. Arthur's privacy is somehow her fault is a disgusting displace of victim blaming and misogyny. Reinstate Mrs. Arthur and ensure that the students who shared her private photographs are punished severely so they realize women aren't there for their enjoyment and to be humiliated. Your current course of action teaches these students that women are there for their taking and that is a violation of your role as educators.

The kid should be disciplined like why should the teacher get fired if she was sending the pic to her husband, yeh if she was posting it to the public then its a different matter but she wasn't plus the kid should respect its her property not his

Perhaps the administration need some lessons in victim blaming. And the students involved need some lessons in privacy.

As a fellow teacher, I'm saddened to see that YET AGAIN the student receives no consequence

This teacher should not have been fired for what was on her PRIVATE PHONE. Are adults not allowed to send pictures to their significant others? This is ridiculous. In an age were sex is everywhere and I am sickened by it, a wife sending her husband a photo on her phone is not wrong. No matter where the teacher was, I'm sure the student would have stolen her phone either way. When a kid wants to play a prank on school, they're going to. This is a matter of the child not being RAISED PROPERLY BY THEIR PARENTS. The student should have known better to A) not steal someone else's property, and B) not share an obviously private photograph. The student should be the only one punished and the students parents should be ashamed for raising such a disrespectful, thieving child. I agree with this comment. That is why I copied and pasted it.

The attitude of the school district is a disgrace. This is just another reason why people have such a low opinion of South Carolina
