Privacy is privacy. The phone was neither lost nor was the student a co-owner. This kerfuffle happened because a student chose to invade his teacher's privacy.

Good luck to you Mrs. Arthur. I hope the student(s) involved in this incident are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

It's unconscionable that a school could get this case so backwards and punish the teacher while the student is not. I feel as though this is some sort of bizarro world where the opposite of what should happen actually occurs. Shame on the school and the principal for getting such an easy case completely wrong here.

Bring Ms. Arthur back to the classroom and punish the student(s) involved in wrongdoing.

This is the most ludicrous story I have heard in quite a while. Why doesn't the superintendent get fired under this thought process? The superintendent made the teacher available to the students, therefor, it's the superintendents faults. Way to teach this kid responsibility...

Mrs Arthur has done nothing wrong here. Her private life was effectively hacked by a student and yet it is she who is punished!! Do the right thing and give this young lady her hard earned career back.

Shame on the superintendant. Student was in the wrong and should have been punished.

The student should be held accountable.

He was 16, not stupid. He knew better than to mess with her phone at all letalone go through her pictures and post them on social media. He needs to be expelled for distribution of private property.
