This school is teaching students it's okay to blame the victim. She literally did nothing wrong and yet she loses her job when her privacy is invaded and exposed.

It is ridiculous that this teacher has been dismissed. She should have a reasonable expectation of privacy and is well within her rights to take what ever photos of herself she pleases. I agree that 16 year olds make stupid mistakes, but some mistakes deserve to have consequences or else how are they to learn to take responsibility for their actions.

This is outrageous! The teacher deserves to be reinstated, and the student deserved to be suspended.

Absolutely insane. Sc should be ashamed of them selves. I hope the teacher gets another job at another HS. The kid should be expelled. I am embarrassed to be apart of the sc school system.

We're lucky in the UK. You can't stupidly fire people. You have to actually have a genuine reason! Good teachers are hard to find, but that's not as important as the Head Teachers dignity. Admit you're wrong. It'll make you a bigger man!

Mrs. Arthur should be brought back the student should be punished and Mr. Eubanks should be relieved from his position as he is too inept to be involved in the educational system in any capacity.

Disgusting action of student sharing someone's private life without permission. He's to blame, not her.

Passing moral judgement on someone and ruining their career over it is unamerican. We crossed an ocean to get away from this and yet history will repeat.

The student should be arrested for stealing property and invasion of privacy.

This teacher should not be fired for this. The student should be severely punished and forced to apologize public to the teacher and her job needs to be reinstated NOW!

Way to punish the victim. What is wrong with South Carolina?

It is a public school's duty to teach it's student how to be productive, law abiding citizens by the time they graduate. While teachers are held to a higher standard than most other professionals, they are still human beings entitled to privacy- regardless of whether or not they were performing their duties to expectations. The administration of this school is promoting a culture that enables sex offenders and punishes sex crime victims. Enforce consequences on the student as if he had offended your own daughter. Send a message to your students that all human beings are deserving of respect, and that violating others in a sexual nature is not to be tolerated in our society.

Enough with the politically correct BS! The student should be punished and the superintendent fired for not supporting the teacher.
