What is really going on here? I think that at the very least, the student should be held accountable for knowing right from wrong and social standards - why are they excused from sharing any of those photos and taking them without permission?

I'm a fellow teacher. Being fired over someone else invading your privacy.. That's ridiculous.

She had a right to her privacy. The boy should be prosocuted for sending her image without her consent.

I may have a little discontent for the student in question, but the district handled this situation terribly, and should quite frankly, find new management. This kinda thing has made me not want to continue learning to be a teacher myself, and that saddens me to no end.

This sort of hypersensitive fearfulness must be resisted.

Shameful and she should be rehired but then again after what they did to her why would she even want to work there.

What lesson are you providing our children by punishing the victim?

It's unfair - the students violated her right to privacy! According to the constitution every citizen has the right to privacy. Those students violated it thus they should be punished not her.

Ridiculous. We shouldn't be talking about this woman's private photos, but rather the theft of her personal property.

I think it's disgusting that the child involved gets away with it and Miss Arthur is suffering for something that was not her fault. Philip Defranco sent me here and I'm glad that I can help.

The teacher should have her job given back and the student should be arrested.

You shouldn't fire a woman for the effects of a CRIME. Child or adult, he stole her property, and invaded her privacy. This wasn't her being careless. This situation is utter lunacy, and that SI has no business firing her for that. He has no business being SI, apparently. How dare they shame this woman for loving her husband. The only thing inappropriate about all this, is the way the district handled it.

A school teaching their students to blame the victim. Just wow. This is a clear violation of privacy and the student should be punish for his actions.

Shame on the district for victim blaming a good teacher out of her position. Hopefully justice will be served on those who deserve it.
